Traditionally the prices of hotel and guesthouse properties in Hungary have been lower than those of similar properties in neighbouring Austria. This has drawn interest from overseas buyers wanting to buy hotels and guesthouses in Hungary, especially as the country is a full EU member.
There are some excellent tourist regions in Hungary particularly those based around the thermal spas and Lake Balaton.
Buyers however need to be cautious when approaching this market. Just because a property is cheap, does not necessarily mean it is has good business potential.
